I hope everyone has had a great start to the year.  The art department has a few projects underway and we could use a bit of help.  If you have any shish kabob skewers, extra rolls of packaging tape or hard back chapter books roughly the size of a Harry Potter book we would greatly appreciate any donations.

Sketchbook Assignments Due Date

Sketchbook assignments have been assigned today.  They are due October 3rd for all 5th through 8th grade students!

Back to school!

Where did the summer go?  I hope everyone had a fun filled summer vacation and got plenty of rest for the upcoming school year.  I know I did.

Here are a few changes to the middle school art department:

• I will now be teaching all 5th grade students!
• I will be running a video news program (stay tuned for more information regarding that)!
• 6th grade will be its own class and will no longer be intermixed with 7th and 8th grade students.
• Art for 6th through 8th grade students will only be one quarter long.  Students may take art once each semester.

I look forward to a fantastic new school year!  I hope that you do as well.

I will be canceling the Kickstarter page today. I don't see us finding $6,000 within the next three days. Our Donorschoose.com project for a new PC is up. I feel that this is the best approach for us at the moment. We will make smaller steps to grow this project. Donorschoose and end of the year.

As the year comes to an end we are already looking towards next year.  I am trying to start up a video production club/class for next year.  The first step is to gather up all of the required tech to make this dream a reality.  I have posted a Donorschoose project to help us get our first camera.  We will use this DSLR for video production and recording our art that we create throughout the upcoming years.  Any donation would greatly be appreciated.

Parent Teacher Conferences
